mmmm Colombian coffee

We have a new coffee on the menu:

Colombia – San Pedro

Organic Micro-Lot

A silky smooth coffee with an extremely rich velvet texture and well rounded body that has just a hint of pleasant, dry acidity. A deep fruity note with raisiny sweetness are a prelude to the dash of cinnamon stick and more nutmeg notes as the cup cools. A rich milk chocolate with hints of black tea conclude this delicious coffee.

The Popayan the region where this certified organic coffee is grown, is located in the south part of Colombia, between the Central and Western Andean ranges. It is in this area where the Cauca river is born, and therefore good sources of fresh spring water are available. Each farmer hand picks the coffee cherries and does the wet processing and washing of its coffee. Most of the coffee is still sun-dried by each individual farmer. A vast majority of coffees in this region are grown under shade and the best growing region is between 1700 and 2100 meters above sea level. This is a very select “microlot” coffee that’s not your average Colombian.
